This project was made for my year 3 Network Systems for Game Development university module. A small tank game demo demonstrates network architecture implementation. A client-server system allows a large number of players to connect to one server. The project is made to run on a Windows machine and uses the SFML framework and network API.
- Both TCP and UDP protocols used where appropriate
- Server-Authoritive system
- Constant server tickrate for synchronisation
- Non-blocking and Select applied for sockets where appropriate
- Prediction and Interpolation for movement and projectiles
